Cookie Policy

Last updated 16 October 2026.

This page lists the cookies and similar storage the site uses. Advertising and analytics come from Google.

Cookies we set

These are the only cookies the site itself writes. Both are HttpOnly, Secure, and SameSite=Lax, so page scripts cannot read them and they are only sent back to this site.

  • __Host-one8b_sid keeps you signed in. It can last up to 90 days, and it is cleared when you sign out.
  • __Host-one8b_oa holds the short-lived state for Google sign-in. It lasts about 10 minutes and is removed when sign-in finishes.

Storage that is not a cookie

The game saves the life in progress, finished lives, and settings in local storage on this device. That is not sent to us as a cookie. You can remove it by clearing this site’s data in the browser. Doing that deletes unfinished and finished lives that were never kept on the server.

Analytics

Google Analytics (measurement id G-01Z0HC02KT) sets cookies such as _ga to tell a new visit from a returning one and to measure pages. Google’s description is in their privacy policy. You can install Google’s Analytics opt-out add-on, or block the cookies in your browser.

Advertising

Google AdSense may set cookies to show ads, to limit how often you see an ad, and to measure an ad. Third parties, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this website or other websites. Google’s use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads based on your visit to this site and other sites on the Internet.

You can opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings. You can also visit aboutads.info or turn off third-party cookies in your browser. Turning them off does not turn the simulation off. It can make ads less relevant, or replace them with ads that are not based on your other visits.

Google explains advertising cookies at policies.google.com/technologies/ads. How Google uses data when you use a partner site is at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites.

How to control them

Browser settings can block or delete cookies. Blocking the two sign-in cookies means you will need to sign in again, and Google sign-in may not finish. Blocking Google’s cookies does not delete a life saved in local storage.
