The Four Stats in 1 in 8 Billion Explained

This page explains one part of the game. It is an independent copy, not the official site. The life itself starts on this language’s homepage.

Four bars, not four prizes

Health, Happiness, Knowledge and Relationships are the four bars on the life screen, each from 0 to 100. Income and savings sit nearby and are not a fifth bar. A high number raises the odds. It does not decide the year.

The four bars run from 0 to 100. They are not a score for a real person.
SettingOn this copy
HealthAffects the risk of dying and whether the character can keep working. Exercise, checkups and care raise it. Age lowers it. 100 does not mean the character cannot die.
HappinessHow satisfied the character is. Income, family, friends, health and debt all move it. Nothing fills it in one press.
KnowledgeAffects exams, job offers and starting pay. Family means and the country’s schools matter more. Above about 70, more of it makes little difference, and 100 does not guarantee a university place or a particular job.
RelationshipsBonds with family and friends. They touch marriage and its crises, talks with children, bullying at school, and loneliness in old age. This is not a romance meter.

Health

It affects the risk of dying and whether the character can keep working. Care and exercise lean it up. Age leans it down. A full bar is not immunity.

Happiness

It is satisfaction in the simulation. Family, friends, health, income and debt can all move it. There is no sequence that fills it.

Knowledge

It leans on exams, offers and starting pay. The family’s means and the country’s schools weigh more. Above about 70, more of it matters less. 100 is not an admission letter.

Relationships

These are bonds with family and friends. They touch marriage, children, school, and loneliness later. They are not a meter that only tracks romance.

How the yearly focus leans

The focus you pick has a printed direction, such as knowledge up or health down. Those words are the game’s own labels. The choices page lists every focus. A direction is not a receipt.

Money is a different number

Income, savings and purchasing-power dollars can appear beside the bars. They are not Health or Happiness. A deeper page about income is not published here, so this page does not link to one.

100 is not a guaranteed life

The country baseline, age, and events still act. Luck is part of the model. A bar at 100 does not cancel a risk the life table or an event still carries.

Questions about the bars

Choices are on the choices page. The ending screen is on the results page.

Does 100 health mean the character cannot die?

No. It changes the odds. It is not a shield.

Does 100 knowledge guarantee university?

No. Schooling also depends on age, family, and the country.

Where is income?

Beside the bars, not inside them. This page does not treat money as a fifth stat.
